Jo Malone advertisement  Top perfume brand advertisements  Alexander Mcqueen advertisements I'm extremely excited about this assignment. I did work experience with a jeweler called 'Chupi'. An absolutely fabulous brand. When I worked with Chupi, I  sat in on a photo shoot. they brought in a hand model who was going to model the rings and bracelets. I didn't realize how much thought went into it and for such a simple outcome.  A lot of inspiration coming my way for this assignment. I will put a lot of thought into it. I think at the moment I am heading in the direction of perfume. why? because a lot of the ads are very out there and different. Very unique and I'd like go big.

Finished Piece Inspirational Piece This was a fun project to do. I enjoyed the planning and creating involved. As you can see I have included my inspiration images and the final product.

Portrait Assignment

Image
Split Lighting  Here I  have captured what is called a split lighting photo. It consists of half the face in shadow and half in light. This light could be natural or from a lampshade of some sort. As you can probably tell, I went with a dark room and lampshade. Straight down the middle of the face, there is a sharp change from the shadow.  After studying this image, one thing I would've done differently is, I should've pulled the light away from the model's face more so it wasn't pure white at the very right side of her face. Overall though, I am happy with the image.   Rembrandt lighting  Here I captured a Rembrandt image. This consisted of only 1/3 of the face in light and the rest in shadow. The Rembrandt image is rather similar to the broad shot, the only difference is, the lampshade in broad lighting is placed in the opposite place. As you can see the shadow isn't as intense as the split one. The model's right eye is partly visible.  Loop Lighti...

Bounced Flash  Capturing a slight shadow of the object Behind a clear background, you can notice the shadow comes out very well and noticeable.  Without the shadow. This was possible because I place a white piece of card under the flash and it reflected off the ceiling which made the flash not visible in the photo. Here there is a sharp shadow of the cylinder object.

Reflection Image For one of my images, I placed the chain handle of a handbag at a 180degree angle to the window. This caused a shadow lurking in behind. Giving it the reflection effect. 90Degrees Parallel This image I took as the subject faced 90degrees parallel to the window. As you can see the entirety of the front of the handbag is taking in all the light but the back of it isn't receiving any natural light.                                                                         Subject in Direction Here you are able to see the difference between where the flower and pot are catching the light and what parts aren't recieveing any. This is due to the direction in which I placed the flower.                                 ...
